Watercolor and Tempera on paper by this noted Boston artist who was also a promoter, dealer and driver in New England before WWII. This painting depicts John’s E4 Roof Special being towed through the village on its way to the ½ mile dirt track in 1931. Figured with a T Ford block, it was designed, built and driven by John Burgess, with note on back from John Burgess. Very elaborate work, 26.25” x 19.5” plus frame and mats. A+ cond.
