Austin J (Junior) 40 MK 1 was produced by the Austin Motor Co in a special building and production line at the factory and started in 1949. This is a good example of this 2-seater child car. This is a pedal car with headlights, handbrake, make-believe gauges and gear shift, vinyl seat, steel construction, opening hood to show the make-believe 4-cylinder engine and opening trunk. Production serial number #31848, comes with photocopy of sales brochure, inflatable tires with chrome hub caps, chrome bumpers, bakelike steering wheel red with green interior, very good overall condition with minor scratches on paint, 58” long.
